This email comes out every Thursday or Friday and includes information about upcoming activities coming up the following weekend or soon after.  MCP Updates operates as the Yahoo group mcprainbow.

Publishing in MCP Updates The goal of MCP Updates is to provide a method to communicate MCP information to subscribers in a short message. Many studies show that readers stop reading very quickly in long messages or web sites, so every attempt is made to keep MCP Updates brief and to the point. To that end, items in MCP Updates must meet the following guidelines-

• Updates must refer to a church activity - As much as we'd like to accommodate other items, such as school fundraisers, scout activities, personal classified ads, etc., to expand the scope of the newsletter would reduce its effectiveness to inform readers of church events.
• Updates should be one paragraph or less, we reserve the right to edit.
• Please submit the actual text for publication, don't send in requests such as "Biff, can you put in something about the [some event] in the newsletter?"
• Items must be submitted every week - if you want to be sure an announcement appears more than one week, the only way to guarantee it is to submit it each week. We don't promise to be able to handle "Please run this for the next 4 weeks" requests.

To place an item in MCP Updates, send it to biff@biffgaut.com by Wednesday at Midnight. If you frequently publish to the newsletter and would like a weekly reminder of the deadline, send an email to biff@biffgaut.com asking to receive the weekly reminder. An email reminder usually comes out early Wednesday morning.
